Special Services

Microfilm
A 1.5 hour time limit may be imposed on the use of the microfilm readers 
due to their limited number.There is a first-come, first-serve policy observed 
for the unscheduled blocks of time for use of the microfilm readers. No one 
patron or group of patrons can expect exclusive all-day use of the microfilm 
readers unless no other patron is waiting. Microfilm copies are $.50 
(fifty cents) when searched for by the patron and reproduced using the 
self-service coin operated machines. Mail and telephone requested microfilm 
copies will cost $2.00 (two dollars) per copy plus postage. These microfilm 
requests must be specific in terms of the date of the information desired.

  • Only one roll of microfilm will be available at a time. After viewing the film, 
    leave the film outside of the microfilm storage drawers. Staff members will 
    return it for you.
  • Patrons will be charged full replacement cost for torn or damaged microfilm.

Copy Machine Policy

  • We reserve the right to deny copies of materials. 
    This may often be due to the physical condition of the material.
  • When making copies of the work of other researchers, please 
    acknowledge the researcher/author, the source and the PA Room. 
  • Please do not present this work as your own as there are laws 
    against plagiarism and copyright infringement.
  • Self-service copies are 15 cents per page.

  • The computer system only requires a basic knowledge of computers.
  • Library material can be located either by subject, title or author.
  • Please type your selection and strike the Enter key. 
  • The library updates the computer listings frequently.
  • If you have difficulty finding a selection, please ask for help at the 
    circulation desk.

Meeting Room Available with Kitchenette
The Library makes available meeting rooms for groups. 
There is a cost-recovery fee for all groups using these rooms. 
This privilege is subject to the policies listed below.

Meeting Room Policy

  • Meeting Room requests and reservations must be made and confirmed in writing.
  • Clubs meeting on a regular basis must make reservations at the beginning of the calendar year.
  • Written requests must include the name and telephone number of a contact person who can be reached during business hours. The Library must be informed of changes or cancellations on the meeting schedule at least a week before the meeting. 
  • The contact person must notify the Library when a meeting is canceled due to emergency.
  • Youth organizations cannot meet without several adult chaperons.
  • The Library meeting rooms are available, all groups should expect to pay a cost-recovery fee.
  • Any groups should expect to be assessed a per hour fee as follows:
$15.00 -1 room $20 - 2 rooms $30 - 3 rooms
  • Liquor may not be served at meetings scheduled in the Library.
  • Organizations may not gamble in the Library Meeting Rooms.
  • No nonprofit group may schedule a meeting space more than once per month.
  • The building must be empty by 9:30 p.m.
  • Liability : All groups use the facilities of the Library at their own risk.
  • The Library will not be responsible for accidents or other untoward incidents.
  • No smoking in this facility.
  • The kitchen facility must be shared with any other groups meeting at the same time.
  • The Library reserves discretionary rights regarding the use of the meeting rooms.
  • The meeting rooms should be returned to the condition in which you found them. 
  • Any dishes used must be cleaned, any trash must be placed in the receptacles provided and furniture returned to its original position.
  • Please DO NOT use tape or adhesive on the walls or furniture for any purpose.
  • DO NOT enter the meeting rooms while other groups are using the rooms. If you have a question or complaint, address those issues to the staff and not the individual or group using the meeting room.
