Come On In to The Main Floor of the Library
The Main Floor of the
Uniontown Public Library is a bright, welcoming area. As
you enter from outside, you'll be lead directly to the very
busy circulation desk – the heart of the library. Here is
where you will register for a library card, check books in
or out, or ask for assistance. Across from the circulation
desk are the patron use computers with high-speed Internet
connections, and beside the computer area is the Perpetual
Book Sale corner.

In the book stacks, you'll
find fiction, non-fiction, biographies, mysteries, large
print books, magazines, books on tape or books on CD,
videos, DVDs, and reference materials. At the very front of
the shelves are the newest fiction books – ‘Rentals’ we
call them. For a small fee per day, you can have the
current releases in hand.
The main floor of the library boasts an open and relaxing
reading room where chairs, tables, and couches are
available for your reading and studying comfort, plus for
those who wish to use their personal laptop computers, this
area, as well as the entire first floor, is now
wireless.
